Obstacles were balanced between challenging to moderate but keeping you in the motivated spirit the whole time. The final hill was great! Reminded me a lot of my old USMC days. Although I was a bit worn by the end I enjoyed having just enough room at the end to finish strong with a hearty sprint. High quality obstacle construction. Excellent location and top notch after race beverages! I plan on running it again next season along with some friends from the Georgia Circuit the Dirtbags. Great article. Keep it up.

GET SOME!!!
Semper Fi Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14696790474160893649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4832966217477763410.post-44143930809901380552013-09-08T17:45:41.731-05:002013-09-08T17:45:41.731-05:00Congratulations on the latest win! Curiously, I had written something early this spring about the same OCR topic. Not that I'm any expert on this and I certainly don't have your vantage point, but maybe it would be of interest to you (particularly since one of your posts helped inspire that rant...which is referenced in it). Anyway, here are the links to the posts*...there ended up being two parts. Good luck in VT! Saturday's Beast is actual the culmination of my "quest" this year...although I don't think they'll be any cameras around for me...lol.

* and since you love footnotes, there's also a link to my post on the different types of OCR races and where that may be going.

part 1: http://thetruthisthereisnobox.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-present-and-future-of-obstacle.html

part 2: http://thetruthisthereisnobox.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-present-and-future-of-obstacle_4.html

OCR race courses: http://thetruthisthereisnobox.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-tale-of-two-racesor-is-it-three.htmlThe Nighthawk....John Wallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11916299019597747500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4832966217477763410.post-41579799184958264102013-09-07T11:33:43.795-05:002013-09-07T11:33:43.795-05:00It was so Gratifying to speak to Amelia after the ...It was so Gratifying to speak to Amelia after the Mud Guts and Glory event-she was very gracious and it justified all the hard work that went into the Course and I have been told by the owners that there is more amazing things to come for this course!!!
